Maine was the 23rd state in the USA; it became a state on March 15, 1820. It’s the most northernmost and easternmost part of New England. Maine is legendary for it’s beautiful scenery – it’s rocky coastline, north woods, mountains, rivers and lakes. Because of the deep cold waters of the Gulf of Maine, the freshness and quality of its sea’s bounty has attained a true cult status.
