Connecticut was the 5th state in the USA; it became a state on January 9, 1788. It is the third smallest state with a population of 3,574,097. With its 250-mile shoreline, Connecticut is a popular resort area. It’s also highly populated with many colleges, most notably Yale University which is located in New Haven.
