South Carolina state was one of the first states to declare its independence from the British during the American Revolutionary war. It is the 8th state in the United States and became a state in 1788. It’s weather is hot, with very humid summers and generally mild to cool winters. There are many state parks including the 80,000 acres of land in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Also there are lots of beaches and places to play golf!
